Today my husband got an incredibly well deserved, largely overdue, *huge* promotion. Along with that comes more stress, more work, more responsibility. Also more perks, more vacation and sick time, more respect, more clout, and yes, more money. Significantly more money. Okay, maybe a lot more money.
This has been a long time coming. It isn't without some angst - B had to say goodbye to a man who used to be one of his best friends. That friendship will never be rekindled. There will be the pains of transitions, the confusion of new roles, but it will all be in passing. When the dust settles, I'm certain we'll be on top of the heap.
I'm so proud of him.
